About the Artist
I’ve loved stationery for as long as I can remember—paper, stickers, pens, pencils, journals… all the little things that somehow made me ridiculously happy.
As a kid, though, whenever I spotted something I wanted, I usually heard some version of, “You don’t need that,” or “That’s too expensive.”
Fast forward to big-girl age with big-girl money. 😂 I realized I could finally buy all those things I used to want—but somewhere along the way, I discovered something even better:
I could make them myself.
Magic Lotus Studio grew from my love of stationery and my love of art. Everything you find here begins with something I created, whether it was drawn digitally, painted by hand, or dreamed up somewhere in between.
For most of my life, I didn’t believe my art was good enough to share. Creating this little world has helped me change that. In a way, every sticker, character, painting, and piece of stationery is me giving that little girl permission to have the things that once brought her joy—and then sharing that joy with someone else.
But this studio has also become something much bigger for me personally. Creating has been an important part of my sobriety. It gives my mind somewhere positive to go, keeps my hands busy, and gives me something new to dream about and work toward. At one year and three months sober, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.
So when you purchase something from Magic Lotus Studio, you aren’t just supporting a small creative business. You’re giving me another reason to keep drawing, painting, experimenting, and creating.
This little studio is part art, part childhood dream, and part healing—and I’m so happy I get to share it with you. 💕
